The official title for chapter 2 is “Roads”.  It will be starting in two weeks with the chapter cover and then into Taalu’s portion of the story.  Next week I will be posting a “Lessons with Julea” which I hope you will all enjoy.

The past two weeks has been a wonderful break.  I haven’t gotten nearly as much as I would have liked to get done, but I needed a break from drawing and creative stuff in general.  For the most part I’ve been playing some games and watching some shows.  This comic stuff is a lot of work.  Especially to keep up with the quality I want to present.  Speaking of quality, I’m on my third version of the Chapter 2 cover.  My first two attempts were balls, but this last one is a keeper.  I can’t wait for you all to see the finished product.  …I can’t wait to see the finished product!  There’s still so much left to do, but now that I have it mostly figured out it’s going pretty fast.    I did promise a site makeover.  That’s not happening just yet.  I’ll make some small changes shortly, but I spent too much time in realizing that WAMP makes me a vile potty mouth and grumpy goose.  I’ll make some live changes to the site, but nothing drastic and probably during hours when nobody will be looking anyway.  Small stuff that won’t break the site… hopefully.  If anyone is a wiz at sites and can help with a reasonably attractive makeover for cheap, please let me know.  The site loads too slowly and it’s kind of clunky the way it looks currently.  Plus I can’t get the banner to align and it’s driving me batty.

As far as my schedule, that’s still up in the air.  I will guarantee that I’ll be posting weekly, but I cannot guarantee when weekly.  I’ll be changing my banner and information to reflect this change.  *adds to list*

The script for Chapter 2 is written.  No doubt it will get slightly revised as I actually draw the comics.  I’ve been working out thumbnails for the first portion so drawing them should be a bit easier when it comes time.  Layouts are the worst part for me.  Once that’s set up, the rest is relatively easy.  There’s no battle, a little humor, and lots of exposition which I find interesting but who knows if you will.  We also get to see two very different sides of Aivarin, the capital of Taalu.  It’s densely populated and home to some of the wealthiest people in all Talyat.  Every major Family has an estate there.  It’s also home to the largest slum in all of Talyat.  Drawing the city is giving me no end of anxiety as this will be my first attempt to draw this kind of thing.  I’ve tried to practice buildings and markets but… yeah.  It’s not pretty so far.  I’m sure I’ll work it out, though.  It’s just a matter of time and sore fingers.  We will meet a few new characters and learn more about some we’ve already met.  There will be no Sark, thank goodness.  That rat needs killing, dammit.

Special thanks to Anne who gave me my first and only donation since the start of Kinslayer.  I rode that high for weeks.  You thought it very little, for me it was very much!  I will be using a name she provided for a character showing up in Chapter 3.

I hope you all enjoy what I’ve got coming.  I make no promises, but that I will do my best.  Thank you all for reading Kinslayer and giving validation to years of daydreaming.
